The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Aminu Tambuwal,
has confirmed his withdrawal from the presidential race. Tambuwal confirmed
this in a statement yesterday where he said
he was standing down for the
“unity” of his party, All Progressives Congress, APC, and he will be supporting
other aspirants seeking the party’s ticket.
The speaker will now contest as the governor of his home
Sokoto State, according to a source.
